Bio
I am an architect, researcher, and curator. My research focuses on the relationship between architecture, lived space, and memory. I participate in various research projects that, like the “(Tr)African(t)s – Catalan Collections Confronting Coloniality” project, incorporate decolonial and racial perspectives to promote equality in architecture. I also collaborate with the Mies Van der Rohe Foundation.
I have held teaching roles at the School of Architecture of La Salle at the Ramon Llull University in Barcelona and at the Elisava School of Design in Barcelona, in addition to participating in international conferences and seminars.
With over 20 years of experience in developing architectural projects, mainly in Catalonia and Equatorial Guinea, I have undertaken urban planning projects in Riaba and Baney. My career also encompasses Corporate Social Responsibility, with heritage rehabilitation projects such as the Basakato de la Sagrada Familia School, the Batete School expansion, and public space like the Alcaide Children’s Park in Malabo.
In 2009, I founded the Patrimonio Guinea project, which I have co-directed since 2014; a project that combines strategies for research, knowledge, and dissemination of Equatorial Guinean heritage. In 2019, Patrimonio Guinea was recognized with the AADIPA European Award for heritage intervention.
